Delegates OK 3 resolutions

The Delegate Assembly approved resolutions to support paraprofessionals' fight for a living wage and better benefits; acknowledge the work of the union's founders on the UFT's 64th anniversary; and honor the impact that women have had on the union.

Resolution honoring the impact of women to our union for Women's History Month

The UFT honors the creativity, innovation, contributions, and impact of women to our beloved union and our society at large during this Women's History Month.

Resolution to support New York City paraprofessionals’ fight for a living wage and fair contract

The UFT shall educate its members about the significant implications of the Paraprofessionals and Education Support Staff Bill of Rights and the Preparing and Retaining All (PARA) Educators Act, emphasizing the potential benefits for paraprofessionals.

Resolution on the UFT's 64th anniversary: March 16, 2024

The UFT resolves to continue our founders’ work to preserve public education, protect workers’ rights and do our part in solidarity with our fellow workers to fight for a nation and world where we all can live and thrive in our workplaces and in our personal lives.

Resolution endorsing Christina McGrath for election to the NYC Teachers' Retirement Board

The United Federation of Teachers endorses Christina McGrath for election as a Teacher-Member of the Teachers’ Retirement Board of the City of New York.

Resolution to remove early voting sites from NYC public schools

The UFT reaffirms the importance of early voting for all residents of New York City and calls on the city Board of Elections not to use schools and instead identify alternative public spaces for early voting.
