New UFT members working in District 27 are invited to attend a social event to connect and network with fellow union members. Enjoy free refreshments and goody bags while getting to know your union colleagues.

Expecting parents in their last trimester are invited to attend a small group consultation with Queens leave specialists Greer Hansen and Anne Wine. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance as they prepare for their upcoming leave. Light snacks and door prizes will be provided! These sessions are for members who have already attended a UFT Pathways to Parenthood workshop and are due in October or November.

Parents, caregivers, educators and community members convened at the UFT Queens borough office on Nov. 22 for the borough’s annual parent conference. The roughly 70 attendees learned about mental health, emergency preparedness, personal finances and more, while connecting with each other and taking time for themselves.
